Hely ya'll,

I don't like coming in here after a long ass hiatus and do this, but at this point, it's kinda unavoidable.

My AC wwent out over the weekend, and I'm now trying to rase a bit of money to replace the unit. We tried working it through the summer with freon refils, and it didn't work.

WHile Mom is willing to help, she is also retired and on a fixed income, and most off her savings has gone to aiding me with certain things. Please help if you can, and boost this post if you can't. Thank you.

I'm still slowly, very slowly, getting my house the way I want it-small pile of dishes in the sink; not small clean pile of laundry in hamper that still needs attention.

...

And now I need someone to please pray that a problem with my toilet isn't serious because drip. *sighs*

I'm also hooping (Which I'[m pretty sure It might be) that a piece of my ninja coffee maker can be put back in place because I pressed to hard and it came off, but I could've sworn I heard something go flying-and I now don't know where in the house it landed-and I don't even know what it is to look for it. >.>

Work continues to be work, although I had a busy day Monday which should help the bank account some, thank the gods, due to the 4 table (Actual massage table in a room) sessions I had (2 one hours back to bacck, and 2 30 min sessions) so hopefully my finces will start to be a bit better than they are sooner than later.

I'm hoping I can get in to work today, but we'll see how that goes-this week's transportation situation has been abysmally sucky, and confusing, so...*crosses fingers*

Someone needs to check their dates before submitting. LOL

We're alive, and finally have somewhat of a build up of social spoons to answer a few comments at a time.

We still come home from work, though, and crash like hell, and this weekend's the Grammys, so we'll be a bit scarce, still, but we're finally starting to feel like we can keep ourselves awake past work shifts on the three days we *actually* work.

Maybe now, we can get back to a few of the snowflake challenges, since it's low pressure and we
can do such a thing. xd :p

Betweeen Covid executive dysfunction and work, it's been hell. o.o

I'm still trying to recover, even *after* taking two weeks off of work from covid to coming home and then doing mor adulting, and it isn't working very well.

I'm still taking the appropriate perscriptions, save for the supplements, sleeping (Probably at the wrong hours, but ya'know, but due to not having many groceries in the house (Due to the fact I have no PTO at said job)...food is the main issue. Especially since I'm busy eating up the ready-made things the friend left for me to chao down on and my cow's milk went caput.

Anyone got any other ideas to keep me from floping after coming home from work for a bit? I'm about $20 in the hole at this point due to having to take Ubers a couple times-so ordering is not an option right now without putting me further behind, unfortunately.

Hello there fans an' new ones. There are two of us in this post and for ease of reading we done put both our responses in one post. I be Cedar. Greetings. Mine is the first one.

Snowflake 2: Do such thin's exist?

There are two things I wish to speak of. One be LIFC (Love is for Children) which T an' I must've spent hours reading when we first found it, an' be the thing that teache me that childhood isn't such a bad place to be. Considering mine was...well now. Someone else don written a primer: it be her fandom, after all, so I'ma just leave the introducton to her like.

The other be books. Old, leatherbound, rare *real* books. I love holdin'em, reading them, looking at them. The smell of them. The breathing in of the paper, leather and glue...it would give me a thrill every time. They are warm and real. As most antique and old things be, actually. I don't know if this be a fandom or not, but it be me, so there ye are.

Hello, I am Kaelaren. Most here have spoken to me once or twice before, but for those who have not, treetings *raises fountain pen* and welcom. The proceeding is my own entry to this particularl challenge:

There are just some things...things you cannot pick between with some. This is me with the Stargate Universe (SGU). I would have said that Atlantis was my favorite of these, but then I remember others in other series...and must revise this statement as no matter where in the universe you stand, there is that which makes you sit and wonder how in all the hells they managed to pull you in, and not let go of you until it is the end...and then you have realized that many an hour has past without you knowing of it.

SGU has done this to me-if not here, than elsewhere, more than once-and I have not regretted one moment of the time spent there-in any of the series involved that I have had the occasion to sit down for. I also could not pick a character from any of these, though a few stand out for me, as do the dynamics between some of said characters. But the entire univers...*sighs*

Today's challenge is to write a primer or intro to your favorite fandom or character.

I would say the current ones hold sway here (And so they do), but I am afraid there is one that stands out.

Along with Project Zeta and Batman Beyond (Along with the members of (right now) the first idderation of Suicide squad, on which my ccurrent fanwork is based), there so happens to be:

Rozwell Conspiracies. Nick and Sh'lainn specifically, but the cartoon as a hole is about aliens living on Earth and the agency helping to keep them secret. I was older when I found it, and the thing that stuck out for me is that it didn't always go for the happy ending-it felt more realistic that way. Like life did. Oh, sure there were your happy endings, your moments of air time with just the two of them, but the fandom as a whole was one of ups, downs, and sideways that kept me rivitted for most of it.

Including a queen who didn't want to admit that she liked the puny littl human her subject (and sister) had gotten herself caught up with. xd

My favorite line? "Thank you, Ritter."

And because I can't just leave it there...

In Death is my other (And most current) obsession. (OK maybe obsession isn't the right word, but it's definitely one I feel I must mention)

Dear gods the shadows, the development, and the suspense. Not to mention the relatable characters involved. I think this might be the only fandom where I say this abot the murderers involved as well as the police force that takes them out. I don't know how the hel JD does it, but she puts *you* in the minds of the killers, then can Bait and Switch (Bonus for whoever gets that reference) you (With perfect accuracy) and puts you right back in the mind of the main badass cop who takes them out all while kicking ass and taking a helluva lot of names

*sighs* *rereads books* Why yes, they're comfort reads for me, could you not tell? xd

I like the character development in each-though I kinda think B5 be doin' a bit better with continuity over all, but tha' jus be me.

But the mysteriousness in B5 be what caught me, an' all the foreshadowin' an' shite.

Too bad none o'us be writtin' in that settin' yet. *sighs*

I usually am not one for these types of posts, but now that I have a reliable friend close by, they might become more frequent. Especially since neither of us drive, and lyft is...interesting to say the least.

As are the app's location finders.

Today, for instance, we had mean to go to an Indian (Hindu, indian) market called "Apna Bazar", and instead ended up at an African one Kaura International. EWhere we promptly picked up some honey beans, tgari, Grated Gasava flower, and one gasava itself. I, as we often do, got caught up in the different texxtures in the bags of things, so ended up finding mo0re about things than I usually would. They also had things we didn't by (Mung beans, peeled blackeyes peas, Nigirian stockfish). After figuring out that thety didn't have eggs or milk, we headed to starbucks so I could get a coffee (As I hadn't had caffine yet) and some grounds for the guarden so I can put some around the four rosebushes (Three shrubs and one climber) we'd gotten about three weeks ago, which ended up being about fifteen pounds or so because half an industrial sized trashbag-more than enough, I think.

In shoht, hey ysabetwordsmith Halpz plz? wi'the ingredients at least? We wanna make fu-fu first, but dunno what else we gunna need-Jay

An idiot friend on your FB who blames all the supply chin and inflation issues on Biden, and not the world's issues at large. Talking about how biden is blaming it al l on Covid, war in Ucrane (How the money in aid is coming out of our pockets (as taxpayers, I guess) and not his) and how prices under trump stayed steady.

All of this in response to baby formula shortages. Because the stores had productes like soda/energydrinks/ice cream and not the other stuff.

After he sent images of gas pumps, which I asked him to describe, and after he said that Biden/Harris was the worst administration since Nixon, which was before he was born)...I just decided that he wasn't worth my time and energy.

If I had a way of posting the entire post from FB, I would. Mainly so we could at (redacted's)idiocy. Because he's a moron. Unfortunately I've known this moron since high school and very little about him has changed, even though he is a bit older than I am.

(Public because it can be.)

Brief backstory: college paper, pagan and Christian culter comtrast/cpompare.

I was actually interested in mythology of a sort since I was about sixteen )AAnd it started with the phoenix myths, but that'll be another post, and it kind of all spirals from there. To the Morrigan, who caught me first, then the Dagda.

I've seen Hern himself anumber of times, especially around my former room mates in both Colorado and Ohio )Sam group of people, two attempts) and he does keep an eye on me (Along with Cernunos, who is someone completely different). I'm still very interested in the celtic/welsh side of things, but my experiences with deities have become more widely varied as I've grown.

Mythology...is a very interesting subject for me. I'm interest in norse, celtic, and even some of the vanic miths. Overlapping perhaps, but there we are. I've been introduced in fiction to various other mytholoties (The loa are...interesting, let me tell you), but at this point it's been mainly Arawn who's got his hands on my reins, so to speak. As Gwynn and Arawn are Allies (At least in my experience, some would conflate the two) I often see him, as well, but he is also more of a background presence, and not the main one as Arawn might be.

Call for aid: moving 2.0

the roommates and we are not jiving well at all, so we are needing to move back to our condo in Indiana. Our roomies wanted six weeks. Due to a miscommunication, the blood family wants us out in three. The move date is now December 11th and is nonnogociable. That's less than a week, aaaah!! *tries not to flail from stress* We need 500 dollars to cover transportation+other moving expenses and start up costs. There is also now a vet appointment for my two cats so that I may have an anxiety med perscribed for them. Ohio state law mandates that the animals must be seen at least once a year for *anything* to be prescribed them, and it has been over that since they've been in; hence the appointment. I'm pretty sure that in and of itself will be at least 200 dollars; I've only got 700 and some to play with; I am now sort of freaking out because I haven't even *begun* to start paying utilities and such.

You all have been a big help so far, and I am grateful. <3 This is almost over, this is almost over...this too shall pass...this is almost over...
